Statement of the problems

For many years, violence from the conflict in three southern provinces of Thailand never seems to subside. It is an area that has severe national security problems due to insurgency. The problem was caused mainly by terrorist acts from Islamic extremist groups aimed at the government and innocent people living in the area. What is affected is that the people in the area are experiencing difficulties in their lives and diminished opportunities. Moreover, the instability kept the private sector from investing in the area. as a result, low economic growth led to low income and employment. Furthermore, the apparent societal problem is that students cannot travel safely to school as much as living safely and peacefully. Therefore, these problems prevent most students from accessing educational opportunities and a better life.

Result

In 2022 results showed that more than 300+ students from this area were enrolled, and around 121 were current students.

2. Giving admission quota to students with no application fee

3. 50% scholarship discount from current tuition fees

4. Training courses in logistics and supply chain

5. Give a certificate of attendance and training

6. Adjusted the format of online/on-demand teaching via the CLS Application

Expected Benefits

The college sees the project as a way of supporting students to have greater access to education and to be able to improve their quality of life and their families effectively. Moreover, the college hopes that this group of students will be able to continue to pass on their knowledge and opportunities to the community on the importance of higher education and future careers. The government and society will allow people in the community to return to work and generate sustainable income. In addition, the college recognizes the importance of this project. Hence, CLS provides a prayer room, accommodation, and canteen to support student groups to live conveniently on campus. The CLS also aims to sign an MOU with the agencies that promote youth education in the area to help local students to have a better quality of life in the 2023 academic year.
