Practical Training in Active Learning, Mr. Supamit Srisawat, Director of Udonthani Education Center, and the lecturers of Department of Logistics Management and Department of Tourism Industry and Hospitality Management, altogether attended a training. The purpose of this training is to possessing basic knowledge in active learning, understanding active learning method and evaluation, and implementing active learning in the classroom.
Active learning is an approach to instruction that involves actively engaging students with the course material through discussions, problem solving, evaluation, case studies, role plays and other methods and also grade their work for 21st Century Skills accordingly. Active learning techniques comprise Cooperative Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Small Group Teaching/Learning, Self-Directed Learning, Group Analysis/Learning, Group Problem-Solving, Team-Based Learning, and Learning by Doing/Activities. Teachers therefore need to be able to adopt a range of roles and skills in active learning techniques to suit specific situations, often during the teaching session.
