CLS Upskill Logistics Lecturer Completes On-the-Job Experience Program, Enhancing Teaching Capabilities for the Real Industry Era.
Dr. Veerachet Mangwaen, a lecturer at the College of Logistics and Supply Chain, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, successfully completed an on-the-job learning program for academic staff at Leo Global Logistics Public Company Limited, a leading logistics company in Thailand. The program focused on upgrading lecturer competencies through real-world industry experience, enhancing their readiness to effectively transfer knowledge to students.
During the program, the lecturer learned about and worked in the entire logistics process, from managing cross-border and project cargo, requiring comprehensive engineering planning and risk management, to smart warehouse management, a key strength of the organization. He experienced Coldbotic, a temperature-controlled warehouse driven by AGV robots and an ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) that can be accurately and modernly controlled via a real-time dashboard. This is advanced technology used only in leading national organizations.
In addition, he learned about international sea freight operations, covering ship capacity management and customs documentation. This includes coordination with international networks, as well as a Master Loader Strategy for goods collection and distribution, which helps increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness in the international trade arena.
The
success of participating in this project
is a significant step in developing the
potential of academic personnel,
enabling them to concretely connect
theoretical knowledge with practical
application in the industry. They are
also ready to apply the acquired
knowledge to their teaching to produce
graduates with skills that meet the
needs of the labor market and are able
to sustainably adapt to the changes in
the logistics industry in the
future.
