University faculty develop communities and create economic added value by processing bergamot into organic soap.

A research team and faculty led by Dr. Srisarin Norasetsopan, the head of the academic service project, visited Moo 2 Khlong Chaikhan community in Khlong Yong Street, Phutthamonton District, Nakhon Pathom Province to implement the project "Developing Local Community Economy through Promoting Creative Economy and Soft Power in Spatial Context: Creating New Value from Bergamot Growers to Enhance Community Economy".
One of the main activities of this project is to process bergamot into organic soap, which is a method of creating added value for community agricultural products. The project has been honored by herbal processing expert Mr. Kesarin Taimuni, who is the owner of the "Herbal Soap" product. A three-star OTOP will become a lecturer, imparting knowledge and demonstrating the production process of bergamot organic soap, so that farmers can apply it to community products with market competitiveness.
